Sightseeing-Tour in Tokyo von 23. April bis 27. April 2010
WIMA-Rally in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, von 27. April bis 3. Mai 2010
WIMA-RALLY Japan 2010
For this year’s international rally in Japan
traveled from Austria Birgit, Lili, Michaela and Jane.
The Japanese organizers had all the work
made and for non-Japanese women a
pre-rally-tour starting from Tokyo organized in
The course of which we (about 97 women) in the near and
more around Tokyo and to our own interest primarily explored.
Led by two tour guides (our is Yuka and was last called by us “Madame Floral” why is not difficult to recognize in the photo), we visited countless Shinto shrines and temples, always nice alternately so as not to give a denomination preference.
After statements by Yuka 98% of Japanese women are with Shinto and 98% are Buddhist (sic).
(Nevertheless, she married now often after
to Christian rites, because them the ceremony and
clothes like better, we have in a Shinto shrine but also seen a traditional wedding).
I was especially impressed the wonderful Gardens where are these shrines or temples.
The vegetation in the visited areas we from Japan
ever more beautiful. Most roads, partially also the highway are blossoming
Trees and shrubs surrounded.
From the cherry, we have indeed
only seen the conclusion
but thanks to the fact that we in the “coldest April since
40 years (!) “In Japan were, we still saw some flowering cherry trees.
The journey to Rally – we were on Monday lunch
brought to Rental-dealer who actually nearly
had found 100 motorcycles and organized the handover great – for us, not surprisingly,
wet and cold. As with most of the journeys
Rallies in recent years it rained. With minor incidents (engine failure after about 20km at Lili)
wet and frozen (lt. thermometer had on the road
it last only 2 ° C), we arrived in the evening at the camp in Fujinomija at the foot of Mount Fuji in approximately 1,100 m at.
The next day we needed to drain and recreation. Unfortunately Jane was sick when you wake up that day, which is slightly improved after hospital visit towards the end of the rally.
Even a day later us the weather was not hold it
started so quickly and so hard to pour that we no longer even managed time to attract the rain garment – luckily we were still in the parking lot.
Only in the afternoon of the third day was the weather better and was always sunny, but not
particularly warm. Smaller tours around the Fuji, So nothing stood in the way.
We also went to the pass road that leads up to the altitude of 2,400 m.
Especially designed impressively and great was the day of the parade.
Having initially in small groups to a parking lot
were placed in the nature reserve and there with only lower, but then enthusiastically collected waste –
I can not imagine who dares in this super clean country throw me something, it happens
but apparently did – we were in a total of five large groups, each of a police officer on motorcycle
housed a barracks, on whose grounds for us a drum concert was brought, a police chapel in
Glen Miller Sound played, a Trial Master his Feats vorführte while also microproject
commented and a group of motorcyclists performed a “Moto Gymkhana Show” .
Finally asked for the participation of national presidents or their representatives two Shintopriester blessing. I have seen a few participants, which were not taken by this ceremony.
The Japanese really did a great job and had everything very well organized. Despite the long flight we were all glad to have participated.
