The journey begins, France we are coming!
First of all, of course, there is the optimised packing on the agenda (this gets better from year to year), then the pre-organised Crit Air sticker has to be attached to the motorbike – little teaser; never checked.
and then the motorbike is ready to go.
The railway employee at the loading station waves us and our motorbikes through towards the loading ramp at 21:00. (The plan was actually 21:45) but better this way than the other way round.
After we are all there anyway, we board the wagons as a group. It is always an adventure to ride through with the higher enduro motorbikes without bumping into the top.
Danach sind wir noch eine Stunde am Bahnsteig und genießen die Abendluft mit (mitgebrachten) Prosecco.
Our carriage looks like old GDR stock, but according to Google it belongs to an American company.
There is a small compartment with 6 beds for the 4 of us, but the sanitary facilities are OK.
The carriages are then moved and the journey finally starts from the main station.
We chatted until about 0:30 and then went to sleep.
It rained more or less all the way to the Arlberg, then it cleared up.
We hope for the best – well, you can hope… 😉
