After international WIMA Rally in Japan, about 220 women met 2.8. – 7.8.2010 in Dutch Markelo near Enschede on European WIMA Rally. The rally was held under the motto “witte Wieven” (can “have or white women” with be translated) and there are several legends about these women in Holland.
Lisi and Anneliese were still caught in the final kilometers of the Driving rain and lack of better prospects presented their tents in the wet on. Hardly were these, of course, the rain abated but gradually I came again behind the clouds propelled dry. This changeable weather should we remain true to the next day. The Dutch organizers provided us at the welcome evening with plenty of delicious home cooking and voted us in this manner mild compared to the fact that beer was only served in 0.2l.
interrupted by downpours found on Tuesday held games the fairgrounds and there was plenty of time to explore the place. The rally on Wednesday was a real challenge: the route led through the smallest streets and was joined on the basis of gefinkelten Directions with frequent reversing and really hard to find. Then, when even began pouring rain, we gave up finally and went back to the square to dry. Thursday was scheduled departure to the parade for 11:00, we thought at least. Because when we boarded at 10:45 our bikes, we had been riding in the slipstream of the whole group! The goal was a maze, where we were greeted by a “witten Wieve”. As a reward, we were allowed to choose between a kiss precisely this “witten Wieve” and a lolly. The veil of “witten Wieve” should I be a clue! Whoever wanted to could still prove at archery, but now again thick clouds had moved in front of the sun. So we went for us directly to the pancake breakfast – nature, apples or bacon – really delicious! After its journey in light rain in the evening entertained us a band and as soon as it was dry again, the campfire was also inflamed.
The last day gave us lasting warmth and sunshine for lounging (sunburn with included) and in the evening a super rich, delicious buffet with various shows and many clad women on “witte Wieven”. Really great what some of the colleagues have since put to the legs! With much laughter and a lot of positive impressions a really perfectly organized WIMA week ended. A special praise deserves even the cleaning section, which made permanent for cleanliness in the sanitary sector. No need to mention that the return journey was accompanied in bright sunshine and heat of countless construction site congestion.
