After a long struggle with ourselves, we decided, but also even to organize a rally in Austria. Our organization team consisted of two people (Lili and Birgit), already in the preparation had the grunt work (organization and coordination). The remaining WIMA members helped on call.

Lili and Birgit, both based in the northern Lower Austria, found a wonderful place in Reingers where our campsite and hemp Hall (including the persons responsible – special thanks at this point Astrid, but also the many other Waldviertler _innen that much work had with us) the entire week were above available. Even the weather was substantially.

After arrival of the participants on Sunday led two of us on Monday, a small group in the Wachau. Some unplanned delays would almost causes this group missed the welcome dinner. Fortunately among the Tour riders were some national presidents, so the welcome evening but did not start without this group.

On Tuesday our parade was held in which thankfully we had a police escort, which guaranteed a risk-free driving. The route took us from Reingers about Heidenreichstein according Altnagelberg where we changed to the historical path and received in Schönau with music. The local music and folk dance program was well received by our guests.

Wednesday was dominated by Vienna, where three-quarters of the participants were brought by bus and the day spent. The wine taverns on the way back in Maissau were also greatly appreciated. The day ended with a small firework of Swiss citizens on their national holiday.

The rally on Thursday required navigation skills through northern Waldviertel to find the stations (for example, answer the Bismarck tower at Castle Rosenau to the question of builders and Year may), good estimation ability (how high is the highest boulder the Basilica) creativity in answering (which depends on the fallen Wackelstein), geographical knowledge of Austria to Vienna, Reingers and the Grossglockner to possible draw in the right place in a contour map and a bit of sporting ambition when “ball target shooting” and “Fishing” on Xundwärtsparcours in Hirschenwies.

Fridays were relaxing, some already prepare the participants for the trip home, unfortunately, to supply a hospital visit to a broken forearm and our last evening in the program. At the request of some participants also found the “Colourful Evening” in this context instead. And as previously provided Nadse on this evening with their music program exuberant mood.

The farewells on Saturday were warm. We got a lot of very positive feedback for our WIMA. In retrospect, it was tiring, but also very beautiful and uplifting.
