WIMA-Austria Kicks Off the Motorcycle Season in Styria
Finally, the time has come: The motorcycle season has begun, and WIMA-Austria celebrated with a wonderful opening ride to the picturesque region of Styria. Under bright sunshine and finally spring-like temperatures, albeit still a bit chilly at just 6°C, we set off to explore almost the exact center of Styria.
Early Rising Pays Off
The journey began early in the morning, but the anticipation of the adventure quickly woke us up. Our route took us through the breathtaking foothills of the Alps, passing by idyllic places like Wiener Neudorf, Gutenstein, Mariazell, Kapfenberg, Bruck an der Mur, Leoben, and finally to Kraubath. Every curve, every ascent, and every valley offered us new, breathtaking views that made our motorcycle hearts beat faster.
A Special Highlight: Alpaca Hike and Shopping
An absolute highlight of our tour was the alpaca hike. These gentle animals accompanied us on a relaxed walk through nature, and their calm demeanor was simply enchanting. Afterwards, we were able to indulge ourselves in the shop of Bergland Alpaka with high-quality alpaca wool products. Who can resist such soft and warm wool?
Culinary Delights in the Evening
After an eventful day, we ended the evening in a cozy inn. Huge portions with delicacies like fried chicken strengthened us for the next day. The sociable gathering and the delicious food were the perfect conclusion to a wonderful day.
Return Journey with Unforgettable Impressions
The next morning, we fortified ourselves with a hearty breakfast before heading back. Our route took us past the impressive Erzberg and on through Hieflau, Wildalpen, Mariazell, Traisen, and St. Corona back to the west of Vienna. The landscape was once again breathtaking, and the shared kilometers on the motorcycles bonded us even closer together.
