For our 30th anniversary of WIMA Austria, this year’s DACH meeting is set to provide a fitting setting. Alongside the celebrations, our main focus is—true to our spirit—on a variety of rides that will appeal not only to us but also to our international guests.
In search of the right region, we quickly found ourselves drawn to the Mühlviertel. The decision came easily: quiet roads, constant ups and downs, and one curve after another—exactly what makes riding here so special.
Our scouting weekend itself offered quite a contrast in terms of weather: cold, wet, and even a touch of snow. So, for once, we explored the routes by car instead of on our motorcycles. That didn’t take away from the experience—quite the opposite. If the area is enjoyable even under these conditions, it’s easy to imagine how much fun these rides will be in good weather.

One of the region’s highlights is its proximity to the border, which makes a detour into the Czech Republic an obvious choice. Český Krumlov is one of our selected destinations—a place that combines enjoyable riding with a charming historic setting, perfect for a relaxed stop along the way.

On the Austrian side, the Danube Loop at Schlögen is another must-see. It’s an ideal spot to pause for a moment and take in the scenery.

All routes are planned so they can comfortably be completed within a day—whether riding solo or in a small group. We have also prepared alternative options and route variations, so everyone can choose what suits them best. For shorter outings, there are plenty of equally सुंदर and rewarding routes available.
During our scouting tour, we made sure to create a balanced mix: varied roads, interesting destinations, opportunities for sightseeing, some more dynamic sections, and, of course, time for relaxed breaks.

Our conclusion after two days in the Mühlviertel: the region offers exactly what we were looking for for our anniversary and the DACH meeting. The planning is in place—and the anticipation of returning, this time on motorcycles, is already building.
